Design of Triple Band Bandpass Filter using Two Coupled Open Loop Triangular Ring Resonators Loaded with Stub

This paper presents a triple band bandpass filter using two coupled open loop triangular ring resonator loaded with stub operating at frequencies 5.7 GHz, 6.8 GHz and 12.85 GHz. The coupled open loop triangular ring resonator is based on the coupled resonator theory to improve the stopband performance of the proposed filter. Transmission zeros (TZs) are generated at edges of passbands to obtain good selectivity. Stubs are loaded to improve the passband performance of the filter. The proposed filter is design and simulated using Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS). The simulated and measured results are in good agreement and show good in band performance.
